I'm a Catco member

I'm a Catco member and have sure found it useful the past couple of years. When my wife and I moved into an inner-city condo, we had to give up our second car. Since we both cycle-commute to work, we're not using a car that often anyway. But once in a while there's a situation where we both need a car at once. For those few times, it sure doesn't make much sense to spend thousands of dollars to own a vehicle, then another $1000 a year on insurance, parking, etc. Catco provided an ideal solution.
I've got a Catco car parked a couple blocks away from me. I just go on-line and book the car, then run down and grab it. If the closest car is not available, I can search around the other locations and usually find one I need. Then I ride over on my folding bike and throw it in the trunk. I even found that I could fit my folder into the back of the ForTwo and still have room left over for a large suitcase!
As an added bonus, it's great to be able to try some new car models like the Smart Car and the Prius. So, check it out!

M100's replies are often inscrutable, but I think he's making a comment that my original post sounds like a sales pitch. Well I'm not an employee of Catco, just a satisfied member, so yes, it was a sales pitch. And the more members Catco gets, the fewer cars there will be on the road in Calgary - which is good for us cyclists.
