For those of you thinking of riding the Highwood Pass this weekend, satellite intel indicates quite a bit of snow still remaining at higher elevations. The road may be clear, however, so don't change your plans based on this.
If you do go this weekend, let us know how it went,

Snow in the Highwood

Feedback from some folks who rode up on the weekend (May 31) is that there is still snow in the pass.
the pass is passable

Thid was sent to me by a trail-running friend:
Julie King biked up to the pass on Sunday and said there was still a little snow on the road near the top but there are a couple of clear paths so you can bike all the way to the pass without difficulty. I think she went up from the west Kananaskis side though, so no idea about the other side if you were coming from that direction.
Pass is impassable as of Wed June4th

I had a friend send me a pic of the pass on Wed June 4th and it looks to be VERY white, everywhere. Good Luck! it will be plowed and open by sunday.
Pass is open

I just heard from takkebos01 who called Parks and they told him that the Pass is now wide open for cycling this weekend. Good luck all of you who will ride the road on Saturday before the highway opens on Sunday. Personally, I'm out due to a bad lung infection which hit me last week.
Looking good for the weekend

I bet there will be a lot of bikes on that road tomorrow, hopefully we won't get too wet.
Sorry to hear you are sick, probably from riding in all this rain. Hope you heal up quick;).
