I am wondering where I can buy those Sanyo Enerloop rechargeable AA batteries. If you have used them, where did you get them?

Costco

Costco online sells them for a good price, and occassionally they are in the store. Amazon.ca sells them online, too (not great prices). Best price I have bought them for is on eBay (just beware of knockoffs).
Duraloops

Certain types of Duracell rechargeables are identical to the Sanyo Enerloop batteries, just with different packaging. Shoppers Drug Mart and WalMart carry the batteries and often have them on sale. Just make sure you purchase ones with the white core and are made in Japan, see photo below.
I have used both the duraloops and enerloops interchangeably in my bike lights without any issues for the last couple of years.
Good info

That's good info -- thanks. I have used the other Duracell NiMH rechargeables and they are complete crap!
NiMH?

NiMH seriously? such old technology... sigh...
That said I saw rechargeable NiCADS the other day being sold as latest and greatest.
If you are aware of Lithium

If you are aware of Lithium Ion rechargeable AA batteries at a reasonable price, please let us know!

Good luck finding 1.5V rechargable lithium AAs -- they don't exist.
You can get 3.7V rechargable lithium AAs, but I wouldn't use them to drive LEDs (or anything else sensitive) not designed for the voltage. Chances are they'd burn out the board nice and quick.

The President's Choice 2000mAh rechargable NiMH used to be rebranded Eneloops. Not sure if they are any longer, but I picked up a bunch a few years back.
NCIX.ca has some packets on sale right now. I think Costco.ca is a better deal, though. Depends on shipping costs.
I ended up getting an Eneloop

I ended up getting an Eneloop charger/6AA + 6AAA on ebay, after checking Vistek, Canadian Tire and Walmar with no luck.
I didn't know about the Duraloop. Are they the 2nd generation Eneloop (good to -20C)?

Rayovac Hybrids are great!

Any NiMH battery that claims to be charged in the package is a Low Self Discharge battery like the Enerloop. I've found the Rayovac Hybrid batteries to work well and they are cheap. About $16 for 8 at Walmart.
