Looks very clean and simple. Those brake levers look good too, but are they both really necessary when your pedals themselves provide braking? Or do you ride this bike as a single-speed as well?
But as for the brakes, im really not too worried about them.
I went to buy a front brake and i got a rad deal on a set (2 for $30) so i just threw both on and haven't bothered much with it.
I'd keep the rear brake unless you are planning to change the pedals to something with foot retention. Those big platforms look good, but for skidding I like to be able to pull up on the front pedal. Keeping both brake levers may provide additional hand positions too.
Anyway, nice looking bike. I like the black and silver look.
