Well I am writing you guys from Maryland and I am here doing a course for my work. Well we arrived yesterday and today had some time for recreation before classes start tomorrow. The campus here has Huffy Good Vibration Cruiser bikes for students to ride! So two fellow students and myself hopped on and these retro looking baloon tire rides and went for a mile or so ride down to the local watering hole and then toured around abit after. These bikes are NOT fast but they are FUN to ride, comfortable and bring back happy memories of riding as a child. I want to get one just for cruising the 'hood back home, going to the corner store or local coffee shop or pub...perfect for that. Maryland is so beautiful and it is very hot and himid here today unlike Calgary who is freezing right now. Just wanted to let you all know that it doesn't have to have gears and go fast in order for it to be fun to ride.
Cheers.

hey Cram, there are some good cruiser bikes for sale here in Calgary, but the Huffy name is not well known in Canada (but both dearly loved and also derided in the US for their low-end bikes).
In the forum posting on Gear, there was a discussion about how many bikes a person should have, and a neighbourhood cruiser was definitely on the list.
