meet others interested in bikes at the next Green Drinks, Feb. 17th

Note: Come with your own name tag stating you are from
the Bike Calgary community and you can find others there
from the same community or meet people who would like
to be a part of it.

Green Drinks is an open-format, no-agenda monthly
social event for those interested in the environment
to meet, discuss, socialize and/or network.

Introduced to Calgary in September 2007, we now
have over 50 people on average attend each event.
Our latest event in January had over 110 people
attending.

We have even been featured in the Calgary Herald,
Avenue Magazine, 24 Hours, FFWD Weekly and
soon CBC TV's Living Calgary.

We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 5PM
at the Vicious Circle. Admission is free, drink spceials
are available until 7PM and there is even a chance to
win one of our eco-friendly door prizes!

green bikes

well, not everyone at Green Drinks will be interested in bikes, though at the last meeting I did meet two directors from CMBA and a couple of BikeCalgary members. On the other hand, people are going there because of an interest in environment issues (or drinking), so it's a chance for you to proselytize to hopefully sympathetic people in favour of bike-riding.

See you there?

I'd like to check this out

I'd like to check this out sometime , but with my shift at work ending at 5:00 and needing to get home, change ,clean up, then ride down, I'm thinking it would be close to finished. Its the slow time of year for us, so maybe a short day will coincide with the meeting. Being a truck driver and having a strong interest in the environment is sort of an oxymoron, but when the first workable alternative fuel to replace diesel becomes available, I'll be whispering in my boss's ear.

chain it to the fence

chain it to the fence surrounding their patio.
Its pretty thick permenant barred wall. (its hard to explain, but if you've been by it you'll know what im talking about.)

..But i will try and stop by, sounds like a pretty rad time. It'd be rad to meet some people interested in bikes too.
