Say you want to head north from the Bow River, up toward Ranchlands, or Arbour Lake, Citadel or many other neighbourhoods in the far NW. You take the pathway that leads north from Bowmont Park, climbing gradually up a gently sloping incline nicely shaded by trees. You cross Silver Springs Road, and then... the pathway just stops, right in the middle of a field. Why? This pathway needs to continue a further 300m to the corner of Silvergrove Dr and Silverthorne Dr NW. A single-track has already formed where the pathway needs to be constructed. From the street intersection where the missing pathway needs to reach, new on-street bike-route signage is required up to the corner of Silverthorne Dr NW and Silver Spring Blvd NW, whence the route joins an existing bike route. The diagram below shows what's needed.
