I'm a 5'10" male interested in starting sprint triathlons. I am in need of a decent starter bike. If anyone has an old bike that they are looking to upgrade from I might be interested.

You are one the right track looking for a road bike but that said if you see a deal on a used tri bike don't rule it out either.
I looked at the ATA ads and there is nothing there for you but there are 70+ road bikes on the ABA site... http://www.albertabicycle.ab.ca/id/895
A used Cervelo Soloist Team would be a smart choice if you have the budget as it can convert to tri geometry easily. Save some $$$ for accessories too.
