Bowmont

yes as of last Friday when I went that way... but where they're doing all that construction by the dog park you're forced up the path and then you can take the roads the 4-5 blocks west to Nose Hill. Really it's no big deal. I just hope they're done this construction and cleanup by end Sept. cos it's been a real PIA.
thanks RichieRich - so you

thanks RichieRich - so you are able to drop down the hill to where the construction is, then there is clear access on the northbound path back up the hill to Silver Springs Road?
Bowmont... more

ummm... I am not 100% certain about dropping down on the PAVED part... I was on the MTB and took the sketchy rocky route down before hopping onto that northbound gravelly section that quickly returns to the pavement. Wonder if they'll fill that hole soon?
Don't get your hopes up

Last time I went past there 'that hole' was full of high speed water. It looks like they breached the storm sewer line there and will probably need some dry weather (and a bigger hole) to fix it.
Any update on Bowmont paths/construction at dog park?

Anyone know if you can get through yet from Home Road to Nose Hill (without going up to Scenic Acres) along the Bowmont path on the north side of the river?
Still under construction

I spoke to a co-worker who takes that path every day, and he said they are making good progress with the construction, but that path is still closed. Apparently they are starting to lay down at least some of the pathway that was removed, though. So hopefully it will get finished this fall. In the meantime, everything is still fenced off and you have to go to 85th St NW to get to Nose Hill.
City Project page - completion June 2013

I hestitate to post a URL on the City's website as they do change from time to time. If you search for "bowmont storm" on the main City of Calgary page, near the top will be an entry titled "Bowmont West wet ponds" which was most recently updated 2011/11/22. It has the final piece of the project dragging on until June 2013. Hopefully temporary paths will open up before then!
