CAN-BIKE II Courses Offered in April and June

NOTE: If you pass CAN-BIKE II you're on your way to be a volunteer for our Urban Cycling Skills course, or even becoming a CAN-BIKE certified instructor yourself. And we need more instructors!

Also known as CAN-BIKE 2, Bicycle Safety Plus, for ages 14+, is 17 hours of advanced skill and knowledge development in defensive cycling for commuter and recreational cyclists who already ride in traffic. The course includes classroom bike handling skills and riding in all traffic conditions, and will improve your skill and confidence in riding in challenging traffic situations. It will be taught by Canadian Cycling Association certified instructors. This certificate course is quite often a requirement for jobs that involve cycling and a pre-requisite for many bike squad members across Canada. You will bring your own bike, cycling helmet, and gloves to each session.

Completion of this course provides the student with CAN-BIKE 2 certification.
