I do not normally cycle in
Submitted by critninja on
I do not normally cycle in that area but have on occasion been through there aboard a bike.
In my experience vehicle traffic moves very quickly through this area so my main concern would be signage for motorists indicating new bike lanes and especially something to remind motorists there may be more bikes around and to slow down.
I hope that those of you that cycle around here make sure your voice is heard and to make sure the city hears from the cycling community.
potential for connection to Northmount

We live a couple of kilometres from here, and have avoided Northland due to the traffic. I can see Northland being a useful bike route for those further north and west, but will take training on the part of both cyclists and drivers. Northmount turns into 10th, which is a great route to get downtown. My concern is the turning lanes to and from Crowchild, they're free flow, with potential for incidents.
