Someone dropped by my desk and droned on and on and I missed the finish of today's stage. Luckily I have it PVR'd. (How great is high-def bike racing?)
Twelve seconds to the good? Really liking Hesjedal's chances going into the TT on Sunday if he has a good outing tomorrow.
Rode through Prato allo Stelvio a couple of summers ago, obviously didn't ride up the pass being that I was a big dude on a touring bike. Beautiful country, that road is incredible to look up.
I came in late today so I could watch the stage in full. Well worth it. So far he is clearly the strongest in the race, hope for more of the same tomorrow.
Luckily since I stayed late on Tuesday trying to avoid the hail, it all evens out.
Its been a few years since I got up early to watch tv, but it will be another early morning tomorrow to watch the penultimate stage. This is seriously fun to watch. I think the Italians are finally starting to believe that Ryder is for real.
I watch pretty much all the pro cycling races but rarely do I care who comes out on top and nationalism is nothing to me. (Usually I hope for a great show like Sylvain Georges in the ToC or Tom Boonen in PR, both this season.) So I find it a bit odd that I'm on the edge of my seat hoping that Ryder can pull it off. He has the greatest attitude of taking it day-by-day and doesn't seem jacked with testosterone.
No kidding!! Go Ryder Go!
