"In 2012, The City is planning to install 10 km of bicycle lanes and several family-friendly bicycle routes on Calgary’s streets as part of the ongoing implementation of The City’s Cycling Strategy. More on-street bikeways will give cyclists more choices and better connections through Calgary, its communities and into the Centre City. It’s a first step in making Calgary a bicycle-friendly city for all to enjoy—whether to commute to work or school, run errands or just for the joy of it."

It looks like for 2012 the centre city will get 6/7 street (if the parking issue doesn't derail it) and a bit on 9 Ave.
