If any of you have ever biked on Old Banff Coach Road between 85th and 101 Street you will probably know how sketchy that part of the road is - potholes, no shoulder, etc. The city was putting off fixing it but finally are acting on the safety concerns of many cyclists and plan on paving it in August. Great news!

It's lousey even in a truck

I was using that route last week, running Stampede band to and from Springbank. I was wishing I was on the bike because the truck was heaving and bucking like a mad beast.
Awesome

That job is badly overdue, and should great increase the safety for cyclists. Thanks for linking us in to that update.

That area is a craphole, but there's not many alternatives, especially if you want to ride the very, very nice descent/climb on OBCR. I'm a little worried about the "ring road corridor" comments in there -- anyone know what that means? Is it going to become Stoney Trail south??
