Another popular ride in the Invermere area is the loop around Lake Windermere, a 56 km road-bike ride you can do in two to three hours. The weather was threatening during my ride, and it rained on me for a few minutes, but my continued exertion soon had me dried off. The nice thing about this ride is that it will take you away from the maddening crowds in downtown Invermere on a long weekend.
