And, I was taught how to have my voice heard as best possible in order to help get the infrastructure we need. Don’t like to ride on the road in the winter? Try the Park ‘n’ Ride lots!

The City of Calgary has a number of designated Park 'n' Ride lots in the city, with the specific intent of having people drive to the lots, park all day, and ride their bikes to their destination (typically downtown or in the central area). These lots have great access to pathways, which are cleared of snow through the winter. This is a great option for those with undesirable road segments on their usual cycle commuting route. Try it out this fall and winter! Extend your cycle commuting season while staying safe and comfortable.

Bike Calgary is holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Communitywise (223 12 Ave SW). We will have a keynote speaker present on the upcoming Winter Cycling Congress, tell you about what we've done over the last year, cover some board business (financials), and elect up to four new Board members. Doors open at 6:30 pm; the meeting starts at 7:00. Interested in becoming more active in Bike Calgary? Consider running for a role on the Board of Directors!
