Volunteers Needed for Stephen Avenue Redesign Survey

Stephen Avenue is one of Calgary's most iconic, busiest, and recognizable streets. The stretch of 8th Avenue SW from Olympic Plaza to 11th Street SW is known for its retail spaces, restaurants, historic buildings, cultural spaces, cycling infrastructure, and top-notch people watching. The City of Calgary is undertaking a redesign of Stephen Avenue to maximize its potential and draw visitors above and beyond the downtown lunch crowd. The redesign process includes a survey of public space and public life on Stephen Avenue and the City of Calgary and Gehl and Urban Strategy are looking for volunteers to help collect survey responses. Thanks for your interest in helping making Calgary a better city for active transport and cycling. Every 2 to 3 months, Bike Calgary issues a newsletter written and edited by our volunteers. We are looking for two new writers for the newsletter. Content comes from the Board, the Infrastructure Task Group, our Ward Leads, and Events Coordinator. Are you interested in contributing to the future of bike infrastructure in Calgary? Bike Calgary is looking for a volunteer to take on a dedicated advocacy role regarding the new City of Calgary's 2nd Street SW Complete Street project. The volunteer role will be an amazing way to constructively work with the City and with Bike Calgary to give feedback on the cycle tracks included within the project. What is Your Time Commitment?
