Between June 7-12, 2022, volunteers in communities across the country will participate in
Canada’s national bike count. Vélo Canada Bikes, local advocacy organizations, and local
government will be able to use the data in their work to make cycling a part of their
transportation and recreation networks.
Bike Calgary is pleased to announce that Calgary has been selected as a focus city this year! We have finalized our count location details and the volunteer sign up is now open on Vélo Canada Bikes website. Please note that you will not have the ability to volunteer for a specific location or time slot, nor have we confirmed an official count date within the week. At this time, we are just collecting volunteer information to begin to coordinate teams. If you have flex days or are looking for a way to help the biking community and participate as a citizen scientist, sign up now! As a focus community, we will be coordinating a “snap shot” across the city in multiple locations, with counters in teams of two at each location throughout the day.
Weekday morning: 7-9 am
