Calgary Unplugged: An Earth Hour Celebration

March 25, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Free

Earth Hour is a worldwide event to continue the conversation about how limiting our energy use can reduce our impact on the environment.

Calgary Unplugged is a family-friendly Earth Hour event held annually in East Village.

Location: Central Library (800 3 Street SE)
Date: Saturday, March 25, 2023
Time: 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Join us for musical performances, crafts, and educational displays. Participants can engage with magnetic induction systems, experience producing 300 watts of power on pedal powered bike generators, play with a midway style game to learn about Alberta’s renewable energy sources, and more! All non-essential lighting in the library will be turned off from 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. and participants are encouraged to bring LED or other lighting with them to use during this time.

Calgary Unplugged is hosted by The Arusha Centre’s Climate Program, with program support from The City.
