Here is an article on the new connector to the rest. Anyone know more about this? Where bicycles will be able to get into the park?

It sounds like you won’t be able to directly connect by bike (unless you take Highway 1A to Woodland Road down to the park, which will be the vehicle access). But you’ll be able to bike between Haskayne and Glenbow Parks.

So does that mean that there will be no access to haskayne Park from the adjacent neighbourhood?
Is Haskayne then another dead-end that won’t connect to Calgary?

Extremely disappointing if that’s the case. Those blocking access to the park are a special kind.

This was supposed to be a “C to C Trail” from Calgary to Cochrane, opened on time for the Centennial all the way BACK IN 2015!!!!

It’s so insane to me that this has not happened yet. I was actually looking to purchase property in the new neighbourhoods because of the announcements, thinking that 2015 was going to be so sick for biking back and forth for like, yknow, Cochrane ice cream. But then not only did the communities take forever to get approved and started, the pathway never happened, and now it sounds like it’s mediocre and sucks.

So stupid. To be honest, I thought I was being rough on Calgary all these years for thinking its been “mediocre”, and describing things as such, but this one is definitely just… So mediocre. I expected a Calgary to Cochrane bike connection to the city-wide-greenway in 2015, but its now almost 10 years later.

Needless to say I did not even bother to keep up with the development news.

ANyone have any updates on the connectors to Haskayne Park? Bike access to the Calgary Side of the park?
