Good day!! -I am an avid biker -I also drive -pedestrian/biker/scooter education is a large part of the problem -people with headphones/ear buds/focused on phone cross without looking if it is safe to do so (they have the right of way), really? -I taught my daughter to look both ways and make eye contact prior to crossing -and the crossing signals are backwards, the walk light should have the count down timer, when turns to don’t walk (red hand), that means ‘don’t walk’, period -too many rush to make it through don’t walk light which causes issues for drivers/traffic flow -e scooters: no helmet, on side walk, doubling, BIG fine!! (perhaps that will make them think) -and last, for sure, more enforcement/consequence related to distracted driving, NO using phones, (talking/texting), eating, makeup, etc.
