A message from the City of Calgary: Work as part of the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary Reconnection project will resume again in early 2023. From January to April 2023, Bow River Pathway users may experience some delays between 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., on the 900m section of pathway south of 9 Avenue SE, adjacent to the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. Expect most delays to be 5 to 8 minutes, and the maximum delay would be 15 minutes. There will be flag personnel on site to direct pathway users and the construction equipment. For safety, we request that the cyclists follow the direction of the flag personnel.
These delays will allow construction vehicles to safely deliver materials for the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary Reconnection Project. This project will restore healthy ecosystems and habitats and protect the Sanctuary from future flooding. For more information, please visit engage.calgary.ca/ibs
