Bike Calgary is excited to announce our partnership with Lime under their Lime Hero program. Through the Lime Hero program, Lime riders in Calgary can now round up the cost of each ride and donate the difference to Bike Calgary, where this will be used to support our nonprofit volunteer work to make Calgary a great place for all bikers through advocacy, education and community.

“Bike Calgary advocates for a better cycling infrastructure (cycle tracks and bike lanes), safely shared roads, and public and government acceptance, investment and support for cycling as a means of transportation,” said Peter Spearing, Director at Bike Calgary. “We’re excited to work with Lime and their riders to help draw attention to our joint issues and fund our work to shape policy and implement projects that benefit Calgary’s pathway users!”

“We’re thrilled to partner with Bike Calgary and connect our riders to their critical work making riding bikes and e-scooters safer for all of Calgary,” said Jonathan Hopkins, Director of Strategic Development at Lime. “We know our riders want to help create infrastructure that makes it easier to enjoy our safe, sustainable, and reliable transportation options — now they can chip into to support those efforts each time they take a scooter ride.”

Lime Hero is one of multiple community engagement programs from Lime. Bike Calgary will also be included in Lime’s new advocacy program, Lime Action, which connects riders to advocacy organizations focused on safer streets for active transportation, equality and social justice, and environmental sustainability through an online action center. Lime riders will find opportunities to directly support Bike Calgary’s advocacy efforts.
