Message from the City of Calgary regarding an upcoming pathway closure:
The B75 outfall (the pipe that transports storm water to the river) on the north bank of the Bow River, located south of Parkdale Boulevard N.W. near the Kensington Road N.W. intersection, will undergo repairs starting Monday, October 3. See attached map for the location of the pathway that will be impacted.
Pathway Impacts
- The Bow River regional pathway near Parkdale Boulevard and Kensington Road N.W. will be closed intermittently from October 3 to 7 and October 11 to 13.
- Due to the location of construction, a pathway detour will not be in place. Instead, the pathway will be closed periodically between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to allow construction equipment and materials to be safely moved across the pathway. Flaggers will be onsite to direct pathway users.
- Work will be done primarily between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Interruptions and pathway closures will be minimized or avoided, if possible, during morning and evening commutes, and over the lunch hour.
- The pathway will be fully opened on Saturday October 8, Sunday October 9, and Thanksgiving Monday, October 10.
