Two near misses yesterday on my salmon commute (upstream of the core commute) both caused by speed merchants that don’t know what the little levers attached to the thingy’s on their wheels. My advise is learn how to ride in a respectful manor to all path users as a combined 50KPH collision of bodies is not how I want to end my commute.
Oh and I might as well slag the Blinking headlights at the same time, fack they are annoying!
Only issue is when they are left fully on the path in one of the lanes. My bet is some hater is thinking it is good idea to mess with a certain group of path users.
Call out on a incredible stupid moron on this mornings commute. He was riding south side downtown bound nearly took me and another rider out with a completely asinine pass at very high speed. Guy was wearing a Different Bikes jacket and riding a cross bike with a rear rack. I doubled back to talk to him as he had to sit at the light on 11th St to wait anyway. Conversation went like this, “that was a really stupid pass and you nearly caused an accident, that was way to close” him “yeah I guess you are right, that was too close.” me “I don’t need to get hit a second time this year, you should be more careful”
I see this guy nearly everyday and he is always going fast. Slow down asshat before you kill someone!
rant over
Sold these tires on Pinkbike.
The other place lights get hidden is on the Bike Path between Peace Bridge and Eau Claire as the low column lighting beside the trail is the same height as a bicycle light.
Is there a Buy and Sell on the new forums? I want to list a set of Schwalbe Winter 700×30 studded tires. Moving up to a larger size of Marathon Winters.
Great ride on river path this morning. The South Side Glacier is deadly.
