Bike Calgary's Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd from 7pm to 9pm at CommunityWise (223-12 Ave SW). Join us to hear about what's happened over the last year, our plans for cycling advocacy over the next year, and vote for new members of the Board of Directors. There are vacancies on the Board, and any member is welcome to apply for a position on the Board. In particular, we are looking for a Treasurer this year. If you, or someone you know, is passionate about helping cycling in our community and knows something about organization finances, we would love your help on the Board of Directors. Mad Max Ride's post-apocalyptic themed parade is joining Beakerhead's Spectacle this time! Show up in your Mad Max themed costume, ride with us from the Riverwalk (East Village) to The Spectacle (Prince's Island Park) and be part of a spectacular night. All non-motorized transportation (bikes, skateboards, skates, scooters, etc.) is welcome to participate. The first 100 people to register get free entrance to Beakerhead`s Spectacle. The annual YYC Bike Awards acknowledge contributions to cycling in Calgary by advocates, commuters, businesses, and schools.
